1. Adam Jones has apparently been reinstated by the NFL, though he will miss two more games. Which I guess I don’t understand, because either he’s reinstated or he isn’t, right? Anyway, what I really don’t understand about all the hubbub is this: in terms of Pacman’s on-field contributions,we’re essentially talking about former Cowboy Jacques Reeves. In other words? Who cares. We’ll be back with more Around the Horn after these messages.
2. The City Council has ditched the public-comment section from its broadcasts on dallascityhall.com, FM radio, and local cable. Now the ranting and raving of the usual cast of crazies will only be heard by folks within the immediate vicinity of the horseshoe. In an unrelated story, I will no longer be attending City Council meetings.
3. Theodore Kim, after having to type up that “valet parking moves to the suburbs” story, you might want to work on your “not it” game.

Why do I still get the “hello world!!” situation when trying to access FB? I can get to FB by the little window on D homepage, but only the three most recent posts. However, I have been much more productive.
4. Mi Cocina is listed in the print product as of one of the top 10 restaurants in Dallas. Reeeeallly?
5. New “Best” cover ideas for the print product: “Best Trophy Wives,” “Best D-Bags,” “Best Jugs.”

“Now the ranting and raving of the usual cast of crazies will only be heard by folks within the immediate vicinity of the horseshoe.”
but that was the best part of the council broadcasts. now we’re stuck with listening to the “ranting and raving” of the elected cast
Maybe removing the crazies from the air time is a move by the City Council to increase in-person attendance at meetings? That is, if you want to hear the most interesting part, you now have to show up in person.
Or, in the alternative, maybe the bat-guano crazies are actually onto something and the City Council doesn’t want anyone to hear about it. Don your tinfoil caps now!
“bat-guano crazies”
Silly me, all this time I thought the bats migrated south from Austin.
Don’t let them put fluoride in the municipal water supply.
It saps a man’s essence.
I’ve tried clearing everything out and am still getting “Hello World”.. Very frustrating.
If you are still having cache issues after D Mag D-Day +5 I recommend you…
1. Turn off your computer.
2. Unplug computer and all peripherals
3. Take computer outside.
4. Dump in trashcan. You’d deserve to use a computer.
you don’t deserve to use a computer, that is.
No need to be ugly Pat. I haven’t been having cache issues for 5 days. This is the the first day I’ve tried to get on to this site since the problem occurred.
What browser are you running?
If it’s Internet Explorer, go to tools, then Internet options.
You should see something called “browsing history” on the general tab. Hit delete. Close out your browser, open it again, and try getting FB now.
If it’s Firefox, it’s as simple as going to tools, and then pick Clear Private Data from the drop down menu. You’ll get a dialog box asking you to check off what you want deleted. Pick everything. Hit OK. Close Firefox, then reopen. Try FB againn.
