Want to know what it is? Me, too. Specifically, I’m curious about the best place to have one’s car detailed and de-funkified, assuming one has a vehicle whose interior smells mildew funky. Comments on.

JC’s on Walnut Hill @ Audelia

You imply that there is only one car wash in Dallas either worthy or capable of de-funkifying your ride and I simply do not believe that is true.
But if you really have to have the best, call Winston Wolf.

Forest Lane Car Wash (at Forest & the Tollway) - I had the interior of my car shampooed last summer and it did the trick to get rid of the funk.
In the In-Town area, I vote for the Plaza Ca Wash by the Bentley dealer on Lemmon west of the Tollway.

Plaza is great!

Another vote for Forest — they also wash by hand (for now at least). They really seem to take pride in their work.

I’ve been to Uptown Car Wash, Plaza Car Wash on Lemmon and Forest Lane Wash. Forest Lane is the BEST - hands down.

Another vote for Forest Lane. That place has got the goods like Madeline Woods.

JC’s is the best—but please don’t anyone go there…it is my secret!! All you Frontburners stay out of the LH hood!

The one time I was at Forest Lane they locked my keys in my car. And Forest Lane has the WORST bathrooms ever so be sure your kids are on empty before going there so you don’t have to experience it for yourself.
drew@ October 13th, 2008 at 4:59 pm
Okay I will grant that the Forest bathrooms leave something to be desired — comparisons to those at the Keller’s on E NW Highway come to mind.
Not usually a determining factor when selecting a car wash, but then again I don’t have kids.

This might be a good opportunity to do like the rest of the Chris Chrises in Dallas and simply go buy another car.

AutoSpa on Maple Avenue… They always do a hand wash and details services are beyond compare. Pickup and delivery is available and the employees are great!

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll give the bathrooms on Forest a complete makeover. ASAP!

Me — I’m OCD and detail with a toothbrush.
