Mat McBriar Out Six to Eight Weeks, Could Miss the Rest of the Season

The fallout from the Cowboys’ OT loss to the Arizona Cardinals continues. Punter Mat McBriar, who ended up kicking one of the Cardinals in the midsection instead of the pigskin, is out at least six to eight weeks, though his agent believes it will end up being the rest of the season. My suggestion: no more punts the rest of the season. Play it like a video game.

  5. I find your lack of faith disturbing. Allow me to lighten your spirits a bit. Just five short years ago, Brad Johnson won a Superbowl. You couldn’t ask for a more solid backup QB. Marion Barber is the most powerful RB in the league, he’s this generations Robert Newhouse and he’s more than capable of carrying the running game. T.O., Crayton, Austin and Witten are all healthy and they’ll keep the field spread out.

Now, let’s look at the schedule for the next four weeks and the likely outcomes :

    @ St. Louis W

Tampa Bay @ home Johnson will have lots of incentive to beat them so W

@ NY Giants They just got spanked by the Browns and they haven’t had to face a winning team yet this year so W

    Bye Week

    And Washington lost this week.

So cheer up people, it ain’t that bad. I stand by my earlier call :

    Cowboys 12-4 Division Champs.

  6. And according to the Cowboys injury report, Roy Williams should be back in the next week or two.
