2008 We Shot JR Award Winners Announced

Our favorite local music blog announced the winners of its 2008 We Shot JR Awards. I won’t spoil it. But for those wondering: the winner for Age When You Realized that D Magazine Covers Local Music Better than the Observer was 22. Congratulations, 22. You’re my second favorite age, right between 26 and 31.

  1. Why don’t you rename your music section AmeriMetServer Way?

  2. Explain that to me so I can be fully offended/delighted. Right now I’m just confused.

  4. Ah. I guess I got confused with the Met part, as I never worked there. Just about everyone else here did, so I understand.

Also, again: The point of the post was not to pat myself/D on the back. Pretty sure that WSJR category was more of an Observer slam than D Mag praise.

  13. @subservient: Actually, we probably don’t, just because we don’t run very many music pieces. That category just makes me laugh.

But I will try to remember to write Sack of Kittens on a semi-regular basis. Don’t think that falls into the “coverage” category, though.
