Ever think you’d see Wick Allison and Woody Harrelson mentioned in the same sentence? Watch: Wick Allison’s Obama endorsement has been reprinted in full on Voice Yourself, a site founded by Woody Harrelson. Nice.

Looks like *someone* is gonna be getting the hookup on oxygen shots at Woody’s O2 oxygen bar…

The groundswell is pretty impressive.

I’ve long read the ‘rumor’ that while Wick was publisher of National Review in NYC, he ghostwrote dialog for ‘Cheers’ star Kirstie Alley, an old flame dating back to when Ms. Alley posed atop a stack of bullion on the cover of ‘Goldwater: The Magazine’ clad in a loin cloth made of gold certificates clenching an absebtee ballot in her teeth.

Just fyi, I saw Wick’s Obama endorsement taped to the side of a bathroom stall at D/FW.

As John Edwards said to Elliot Spitzer over spritzers: politics is all about strange bedfellows.

Lindsay Lohan on the cover of the November D Magazine – Election Issue?

That is great news! Congrats, Wick! Voice Yourself looks like quite a serious journalistic outlet. You should be proud. To complement your political sell-out, why don’t you go full on personal metamorphosis by incorporating some of Woodrow’s lifestyle – smoke pot, go Vegan, wear hemp clothing, practice yoga, smoke more pot. Just look at all the new friends you are making – Andy Sullivan, Arianna Huffington, Daily Kos. Whose next? Whoopi, Babs, Michael Moore, Rosie, Al Jazeera, Hamas? Maybe Al Gore and you can practice civil disobedience together at coal plants. If you are going to sell-out, don’t stop 1/2 way. If you are going to be a bear, be a grizzly.

Interesting that McCain’s platform is based in bipartisanship and “Country First.” But, when someone posts Wick’s piece, without including commentary but just for awareness’ sake, the response, from what I assume is a McCain supporter, is outrage. KRM, if you are reading, I would be especially interested to hear what the relationship is between cutting out meat and dairy from your diet, or practicing stretching a meditaion, and selling out.
Follow up question, if Woody republishes an article written by O’Rielly, we Bill also be a sell out? If you are not a McCain supporter, please accept my apologies for the assumption.

FrontBurner® launched in March 2003, the first blog in Dallas run by a media organization. This is where the editors of D Magazine come to waste a tremendous amount of time.
