Sarah Palin = Laura Miller?

This David Frum post yesterday over at National Review may resonate with those who observed the political trajectory of our recent mayor.

  1. Hey, if Laura Miller could have finagled 3.2 Billion out of congress to fix our potholes, maybe she’d be running for VP right now…

  2. Interesting quick take and thanks for throwing it out there, Wick. But I don’t think Laura ever rose to the level of messianic. She won reknown as an obstructionist to the powers-that-be, but she did not have the charisma or leadership qualities to make her a true reformer.

  3. I feel like Laura Miller, if given the right climate and surroundings, would be very receptive to aerial wolf hunting.

  6. You know what story has a very strong local connection that I assume FB failed to mention today. An honest slip no doubt.
If you follow the paper trail to the current economic mess the United States finds itself in today, it will lead straight to the door of Phil and Wendy Graham? I’m not whining, I am just stating a fact. Does anyone remember facts?

  8. Here’s the best part about Phil Gramm, SRP. Here’s a guy who was a college economics prof when he went off to Washington. When he left the Capitol years later he was a multimillionaire, and he owned three houses, including a vacation mansion on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. (Still a piker in John McCain terms — 11 houses — but one might charitably note that he did well for himself in D.C.)
