Some of the simplest editorial ideas yield the best, unanticipated results. Case and point: Someone at the DMN thought, “Let’s videotape Dallas Cowboys CB Terence Newman riding on a rollercoaster.” They did, and it’s more than good.

I went to college with Terence and he was (I assume still is!) just about the nicest guy. This is so funny and I had tears coming out of my eyes….

My wife still likes to tell the story about the time I talked her into riding a roller coaster ride at Six Flags. She doesn’t think it was funny, even after all these years.
So naturally I had to call her into the office and play the video again, this time for her. We both had tears in our eyes from laughing. This is great. Almost great enough to forget how much I dislike the owner of the Cowboys.

FrontBurner® launched in March 2003, the first blog in Dallas run by a media organization. This is where the editors of D Magazine come to waste a tremendous amount of time.
