Dallas Stars: The Energy Drink

In case you missed the hockey team last season, now you can catch the Dallas Stars Energy Drink. I found this can at Target at Skillman and Abrams yesterday. While the drink itself is fairly typical of its genre (fizzy, sugary and urpy), its Web site’s Incredible Hulk-like participants made me weepy for the Lou Ferrigno version of the Marvel comic book character.  Looks like the Dallas-based makers of this drink are slapping the names of teams, golf clubs, casinos, just about anything, on the side of these 16-ounce cans, and distributing them. I’m not sure why drinking sugar water might convince a person to paint themselves green and scream, but maybe if I drink a few more cans, I’ll understand.

Love the Herb Alpert album cover behind it - that’s one of my favorite albums.

Maybe it’s about time we do a roundup of DFW’s best vinyl shops…(this energy drink thing certainly isn’t going anywhere).

Dave - great idea! Or biggest vinyl collectors in Dallas and what’s in their collection. I’d love to know who’s got what.

Havoc has been around for a couple of years, and was a sponsor of the Stars’ Fanatics section (332) through the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons.
