The “Boom Goes the Dynamite” Guy Coming to a Sportscast Near-ish You

If you frequent sports blogs, or are friends with someone who frequents sports blogs, then you no doubt know the legend of Brian Collins, the kid whose discombobulation behind the sports desk led to this bit of awesomeness. Somehow, that didn’t completely torpedo his career, as news comes that Collins has hooked on with KXXV in Waco. So now I guess I should start visiting my parents again. 1. Well, you know they couldn’t exactly pass muster with that reality show anchor babe bit in Waco like they did in Tyler… so they’ve settled for sportscasting gold … er, tin. Zinc?

Nothing angers me more than typos on a JOURNALIST’S bio page.

  3. So is the guy’s name, Brian Collins, Brian Came or Brian Current? Those Baylor interns need a lesson in shift key.

  4. 1. i assume brian wrote his bio himself. he got a degree from which fine institution of learning? yikes.
    2. for brian/the station to ignore in his bio the WHOLE POINT of his Booming existence certainly gets him off on the wrong journalistic foot.
    3. having said all that, if he had breasts, he’d be at WFAA in a month.

  6. wow, the number of errors in that bio should be extremely embarrassing for not only brian, but station management.

  8. He might be okay, but that’s an awful bio.
