Troy Lee Smith III, a 41-year-old convicted sex offender, attempted to grab a 4-year-old boy while he was with his parents at Vandergriff Park in Arlington. (They pushed Smith away, and the kid was unharmed.) Then Smith stripped naked in front of the kid and his parents. So the cops show up. Smith doesn’t respond to their commands, and is subsequently shocked with a Taser, then arrested. During the search, they find drugs on him. And after typing his name into the computer, they find Smith also has traffic warrants.
To sum up, Smith could be looking at: indecency with a child, attempted kidnapping, resisting arrest, and possession of a controlled substance, and then throw the traffic violations on top of that. Also, if you hit that link, I think it’s fair to say he could also be charged with one felony count of crazy eye.

I know he’s mentally ill. I know he’s on drugs. I know that little boy was probably dressed provocatively, but can’t we just execute this sorry SOB.
