A helpful FrontBurnervian points our attention to the West, where the Star-Telegram has an article about the land acquisitions the Trinity River Vision Authority has recently approved. That’s not the highlight, though. The article has an accompanying video of the football-sized scale-model version of the project that lives in a warehouse in Vancouver, British Columbia. The video is kinda boring, to be honest, until the 1:18 mark. That’s when the water starts filling in the riverbed. And then at the 1:39 mark, some red dye makes an appearance. It looks like a trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s The Happening (only not as self-indulgent and pretentious, and with better dialogue, even though the only audible line in the Trinity video is “Alright, thank you sir.”). Check it out.

The same thing has to be done for the Trinity Tollway in the Floodway project. I am so looking forward to that video. I bet Jim S. and Sam M. are too.
