Carpool Shooting

Carpoolers was a sitcom. This morning, carpooling turned into a crime. (I hope it’s not murder; the three victims were taken to Baylor Medical and their conditions are unknown at this time.) A 27-year-old man went to pick up a co-worker in southeast Dallas. There was a dispute, and then the man allegedly shot his co-worker, the co-worker’s wife, and the co-worker’s son. Details are still sketchy, but DMN’s Tanya Eiserer reports:

Sgt. Cerda said police were trying to determine what prompted the dispute between the 27-year-old suspect and the shooting victims. He said that the suspect is believed to have previously dated the wife.

Sounds very soap opera-y. And it raises several questions. Just a couple of them: Did the co-worker know about the 27-year-old man’s dating history? Was it their first day to carpool together? Is “carpool together” redundant?

Developing.
