Where You Should Be Saturday Night
Continuing the music theme, one of my other favorite bands in the D-d-FW area, Fight Bite, e-mailed me yesterday to let me know they’re playing a free show at SPACE on Saturday. It’s an artists’ reception for Pluto is Not a Planet, an exhibit at Hal Samples Gallery featuring sculpture and paintings by Sergio Garcia and Shayne W. Ridenour, and photography by Fred Holston, Dylan Hollingsworth, and Desirae Embree. Fight Bite goes on at 10 p.m.
(Me? I’m definitely going to try to make it, but I have to go out to Seymour for a family reunion/100th birthday celebration for my dad’s sweet Aunt Bee. Also, earlier that night, I’ll be judging a diorama contest. But anyway, yeah, if you’re not in my extended family or a maker/fan of dioramas, definitely check out the exhibit and Fight Bite.)
