His blog post just went up. Read it. Good for understanding what this team was and is thinking. My takeaway: He realized Avery could not coach Jason Kidd. What’s yours?

Sounds like an owner that likes to use “we” a lot, but flies off to a Cubs game instead of firing his head coach face-to-face. “We” works for him when it is convenient.
The window of opportunity for championships has closed on this team and the Kidd trade was a knee jerk last gasp exclamation point.

Not going to read it. I stand firmly in the corner with Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and his contempt for these “sports” bloggers. I prefer to get my information from legitimate sports outlets.

I can’t decide if the Kidd trade or the entire ‘07-’08 season would be considered “jumping the shark” for the little Mavericks.
MushMouth: You realize the post Eric linked to is from Mark Cuban, yes? That he is the “sports” blogger in question? Yes? I mean, we can cut it up like an interview, if it makes you comfortable to get your news from Cubes DMN-style, but this is the unfiltered source. Again–Eric linked to a blog post from MARK CUBAN. So if you want to get news from MARK CUBAN, by all means go ahead and clink that link, which will send you to a post from MARK CUBAN.

Um, Zac, it’s called sarcasm.

Mr. Zac Crain -
“The Dallas Mavericks will not allow ANY writer into the locker room areas pre-game and post-game whose primary purpose is to blog no matter what affiliation.”
In my defense, I had been drinking when I commented. MushMouth, well played.
Everyone else, I love you.

Mr. Zac Crain-
I admire a man who drinks and blogs at the same time.
If you should ever decide to relocate to the friendly burgh to the west I would be honored to purchase vast quantities of various ales and spirits for your consumption and launch a campaign to elect you mayor.
Good day and good cheer good Sir!
FrontBurner® launched in March 2003, the first blog in Dallas run by a media organization. This is where the editors of D Magazine preemptively out themselves for sleeping with co-workers before anyone can blackmail them with a movie script detailing their indiscretions.

Um posted while I was digging the article up.
Interesting that the whole blogger controversy was started because of a post about FireAvery.com
