Dallas City Hall = Pleasant Experience

I went to Dallas City Hall this morning to get a new driver’s license (my wallet was stolen on a recent trip to New  York) and was pleasantly surprised when a lady came around welcoming us to city hall and passing out bottled water and snacks to those waiting. I actually only had to wait about thirty minutes, but I was thirsty and that water was nice to have. I did find it strange that no one bothered to ask why I needed a new license nor did they test my vision.

  1. The vision tester was unplugged to make room for the microwave used to heat the towels in the men’s room.

  2. City Hall is the ONLY place to get your driver’s license, a cakewalk compared to everywhere else.

  3. They are just customer service training their employees to work at the new hotel they are trying to build.

  6. I call B.S. on Brian. I had to get my license renewed in January and got the vision test at the City Hall DPS branch. The good part is that I passed. The bad part is that I shouldn’t have; I guessed my way through the left eye. Apparently I need glasses on my left eye, didn’t realize it until then. So beware, drivers to my left!

  7. Took my daughter to Dallas City Hall for drivers permit today. Was an awful experience. After treating the woman from India that was ahead of me like a dog, they told me false information, wrong information, and made me sit and waste my time. Everybody there had a look of disgust on their faces. Pathetic.
