To hear the unsubstantiated charges and all out propaganda flying around and repeated like parrots by our media is what strikes real fear into me. These are the tactics used by totalitarian governments in the last century and we set back and nod our heads like every thing that is reported to us just must be true because we heard it on the tube.

*Miltary style siezure of children based on religous practice

*Propaganda war to deamonize and cover up

*Individual rights trampled based on a group accusation

I do not believe a thing they are saying or any of their accusations. They will do or say anything and rationalize their lying based on their position and arrogant thinking.

These people should be tarred and feathered and run out on a rail. That is what our forefathers would have done with government officials with such contempt for the constitution.

This is a very , very dangerous thing we are witnessing. We should be doing more for these poor people

I must be missing something. According to news reports I've heard and read, at least 20 minors in the compound are pregnant or have had children. This qualifies as statutory rape and child abuse, does it not?
We judge a society as humane on the basis of the protection it extends to its least powerful members, do we not?
There was nothing in the original phone call to suggest it was a hoax. Child protection authorities are required by law to instantly intervene when there are reports of child abuse.
No freedom is absolute, certainly not the freedom to sexually abuse children. The state, if it is to enforce laws and protect the powerless, must be equipped with the force necessary to intervene and be willing to use it. Otherwise the protection has no meaning.
Finally, as distasteful as the present situation may seem, the law must now run its course. An investigation involving hundreds of potential victims, perps, and witnesses will, of necessity, take weeks. In the meantime, should authorities return children to those who quite possibly subjected them to systematic abuse?
Once again, without hype or rhetoric, can somebody explain what I'm missing here?

Wick I would like to offer what I see as a ray of hope that maybe something good can come out of this. I believe those in the trenches at CPS are there because they're believers in doing good. They didn't go into CPS for the wages or benefits. They wanted to make a difference.

I believe they will step up and complain about the abuse of CPS by those at the top with an agenda. That's because I believe they're going to find good kids that are not mistreated. Kids that shouldn't be in foster care. Kids that should be with their parents. No matter what god their parents worship and why.

If children are removed from homes because one or both of the parents don't adhere to monogomous sexual mores we won't have many real parents out there. People will have babies and automatically turn them over to the state to raise.

I bet that toast would have a burnt taste for all these grandmas gnashing their teeth over the suspected abuse of the renegade Mormon kids. When it's their grandbabies being removed then they might look at other people's grandbabies a little differently.

This seems so very much like fascism, in a state where individual rights and liberties were once championed.

Please, prosecute the men who have committed statutory rape beyond reasonable doubt, and if you can prove that any women enabled the statutory rapes, then prosecute them, too.

Otherwise, leave these people the heck alone and let them get on with their lives. Last I heard, it's not a crime to marry, have sex, or give birth at or above the age of consent, even with a partner 30 years your senior.

That these people can have their lives summarily put on hold and perhaps even destroyed without cause is absolutely unconscionable.

Bring charges, or back away, Texas.

I believe that as long as they did the search based on good faith in regard to the tip they thought was legit, it should hold up.

As Marleigh Meisner was part of the debacle that happened in Waco, I would be freaking out about now if this lady was responsible for my children.

I have a friend that combines her background of working on an assembly line at GM and her nursing skills at Parkland Hospital and delivers babies at an incredible rate. She said that if the CPS is looking for underage Mothers they might want to swing by Parkland any time, day or night, no phone hoax required.
