The weather decided to cooperate and the golf tourney is under way. If you want to follow live scores, go here. The latter two, locally based pros had a hand in the redesigned course.

    I’ve never been before, but am going on Saturday. I’m most excited about the people-watching… I hear the “husband hunters” put on quite a show every year. My high hopes for witnessing embarrassing behavior are greatly multiplied by the new rule that allows drinking throughout the course.

    Bleh. If I wanted to see sunburnt grass, I can always head into my backyard in a couple of months.

    My wife and I have gone every year for the last six years and she has yet to see anybody play golf. The Pavillion is entertainment enough! Forget the golf, come to watch the 30k millionaires get drunk and hit on strippers who walk around and pass out VIP cards.

    BTW, I will not be the guy in the red pants.
