Earlier this week EDS CEO Ron Rittenmeyer voiced his disgruntlement about the low-wattage of PGA stars who play in the EDS Byron Nelson these days. He said the tourney needed a turnaround for him to feel confident about EDS’ continued sponsorship. I guess Tour commissioner Tim Finchem did some convincing: EDS extended its contract through 2014.

All this talk about pre-Maddona’s. Now you know why Byron Nelson’s streak will never be broken. So much attention to top ranked players not showing up for a golf tournament. I bet if the purse’s were the same as Byron’s they would make the trip! This to me is the same as the Dallas Cowboys not playing their last 2 season schedule games because they are already in the playoff’s. What a crock o $hit. Because tigger and philly aren’t at the EDS Byron Nelson, all of a sudden the rest of the hardworking PGA pro’s aren’t worth the ground these no-show’s walk on. I say stay home the rest of the year, because golf is the only game that you can’t cheat to win, and in this country I would rather see the guy’s that struggled to make the tour, than the one’s that are all of a sudden to good to show up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
