Hey, Eric, you still holding a grudge against Bruce Tomaso? Rod Dreher appears to be with you. (Apologies to all FrontBurnervians not entertained by tempest-in-a-teapot, internecine media catfights. But it’s not every day that you see such an openly hostile comment from one co-worker to another. I bet Dreher will get his nosed rubbed in it by management.)

Our lovably imaginative Borat of the blogosphere, having invented statistical racism at Woodrow, now confirms it by equating that racism at Preston Hollow Elementary. This is known as journalistically “draw[ing] attention to meaningful controversies in our community”.
For similarly meaningful journalistic fun, invite Dreher over for dinner, then during cocktails release a few large pet store cockroaches. After he finishes throwing ones and fives at them, imagining them to be Woodrow racists or his cultural bogeyman du jour out to get him, your kids will love you for topping off their allowance for the week. Plus you can reuse the cockroaches the next time you invite him.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand Tomaso’s responded.

The malajusted muckraker Mr. Dreher wants to hermetically seal his children in Anne-Frank-like homeschooling instead of sending them to the always exemplary Lipscomb Elementary. Gee - I wonder how they will turn out?
Well the people got a taste of why he shall begrudge his children the entire East Dallas experience last week. Then he lashed out at Yale (umm Woodrow’s valedictorian going there — a connection?) erroneously.
Now his doubtful disputations turn to UD. Let’s hope he at least visted the campus, interviewed students, parents, faculty..NAW - Too much trouble, just write the column, buy more Preparation H.
Shouldn’t Dreher be ragging on an Orthodox university somewhere, instead of UD? Or, do we have to wait till he quits that religion (too) and becomes a Quaker before that tale is told?
I still don’t understand the strategy of the Dallas Morning News filling both of its only two editorial page columnist slots with liberal religious Conservatives, one of which is a no more than a carpetbagger with little or no knowledge or interest in Dallas. Wait, I do…it’s a guaranteed strategy for failure.
I would think a better way to try to save their sinking ship would be by putting a hard head like Mike Hashimoto opposite McKenzie to at least field a real Conservative point of view. In the bargain they’d get someone who at least wouldn’t embarrass them by getting into hair pulling fights with the religion blog. And they’d save head count too.
