Bob Schieffer Makes Fun of Dallas

He kicked off a fundraiser for TCU with a performance from his band Honky Tonk Confidential. The Star-T has video and lyrics from HTC’s anti-Dallas song, which is actually pretty entertaining. (Side note: you know who looks pretty darn fit for his age? Bob Schieffer.)

The Today Show also seems to concur that it should be the FWD Airport. They did Affordable American Getaways story this weekend and encouraged visitors to head west from the airport for a mix of cTexas cowboy and culture.

It’s so perfectly charming to see our little friends from western Greater Dallas getting exercised about the “rivalry.” Rather makes one want to eat a Bicentennial burger to the strains of Peaches & Herb!

Clever and homespun but is it just me or does a paean to Ft. Worth have to spend so much time (including a chorus) emphasizing Dallas? Reminds me of the Aggie Fight Song hand-wringing over UT.
