Re: Leading Off

Eric, quit being such a girl. List prices are edging up and and volumes of existing homes for sale haven’t changed much in two years. Sheesh. You’re squealing like the DJ just put on “Safety Dance.”

The bad news was for Frisclosure (also see foreclosures up 40% in Denton County).

OTOH Ron Burch’s new monthly real estate report in the Lakewood Advocate showed a $100,000 average home price increase for the Lakewood Elementary attendance zone.

Now the fine print. The predominate zip code of the people who actually build houses lies south of me. Meaning 50,ooo Mexican, in southeast Dallas. 6-8 months…and years before…. I was alone in the parks weekdays. For the last three months from Dec. on ……. the parks are full (I mean full, as in holiday weekend) with ’stay at home’ Dad’s….the same men I used to see only on weekends. Now weekdays I have trouble finding a parking space They tell me that it was like someone pulled the emergency brake and everything stopped unless it was already financed, etc. etc. They have gone from 70 hour week weeks to foraging for handyman jobs…. This suggests, shall we say, a ‘down turn’. Foretelling trickle-up economics?
