Mike Fisher on Sandra Crenshaw

I shouldn’t. Because the Crenshaw thread has almost certainly jumped the shark. But anytime a FBvian takes the time to produce an original artwork — well, it warrants the space. A submission from Mike Fisher (click to enlarge):

Update: Not five minutes after I posted that, I got an e-mail press release from Crenshaw. She’s gone to the NAACP. After the jump:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Tuesday, March 25, 2008

CRENSHAW TO ADDRESS DALLAS NAACP.

CALLS FOR MEDIA WATCH FOR NEGATIVE PORTRAYL OF BLACK LEADERS

Sandra Crenshaw will address the Dallas Branch NAACP calling on the membership and other civil rights and legal organizations to organize against negative potrayal of black leaders in the media. Casey Thomas, local president advised Ms. Crenshaw that he will hear her requests and put her concerns before the executive committee calling for a public hearing on the matter. The NAACP meets Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Thurgood Marshall Recreation Center 214-670-7550 for directions to the meeting.

Recently, Steve Blow with the Morning News chastised and tongue lashed a prominent minister for saying that he had heard the allegations that the US had put drugs in the black community and likened his response to lunacy. During the Primary election, Crenshaw, while acting in her legal duly elected position of precinct chair in Oak Cliff, was physically attacked and stalked after she adjourned her precinct convention by two individuals from New Mexico. Earlier, they had incited a near riot disturbance by tellilng the voters that their votes had not been turned and if not by 10:p.m they would not count. A photo was posted on D Magazine Frontburner and other local blogs stating that Crenshaw had gone beserk and was committing voter fraud. Then she was vilified as having mental problems. Crenshaw, who suffers from muscle and skeleton ailments and is on limited disability was reduced to a criminal as the bloggers made fun of her indigency, questioning if she was getting kick backs for a living. Her conversations were recorded as well as her sitings with a city leader in a private office.

Meanwhile, Crenshaw is contacting the advertisers of D Magazine which include all of the prominent public private schools in the area to urge them to require that D Magazine adopt a standard for conduct in their publications.

    hehe….Fish weighs in.

    Genius.

    Dear tiny infant Jesus…

  • Wylie H.

Is it wrong for this to make me so happy?

  • Tey

If all you have is a hammer…..

  • For the record

So much for the self-imposed restraint by bloggers…if I persist in re-attaching the “Kick me” sign to myself, and loudly advertising it, why is it wrong to blame others for kicking me?

  • Huh

    Every village has it’s idiot.

  • Kristin Haun

My favorite part: “Which include all of the prominent public private schools in the area”. Isn’t “public private schools” a bit of a paradox?

Something I have been wondering is, should she succeed in finding out the names and contact information for each person who has commented on our blogs, what will happen then? Will she sue each individual for (insert something ridiculous that has no standing here)?

  • James

I think you just found next months cover!

  • Chris

ahhh… somehow this gets better, and better….

  • Sean

If Sandra spent any time on FrontBurner before March 4, she would have known that FrontBurner mocks all, regardless of race, regligion or ability to conjugate.

  • David

“Sandra Crenshaw will address the Dallas Branch NAACP calling on the membership and other civil rights and legal organizations to organize against negative potrayal of black leaders in the media.”

Since when is she a leader?

  • Typical White Person

That is one of the best photos of Wick Allison’s ex wife that I have every seen.
    She has lost some weight.

Sean, FB prides itself in being snarky. You are not allowed to make comments about Catholic priest and their love of young boys because Wick-A-Zoid is Catholic. So that covers your “regligion” remark.
FB is not racist, they are just not fond of people of a color other than white.

They are amazing at conjugating, which is the reason they have purchased, I mean won so many Katie Awards.

  • hellohello

Any chance of getting Jackson or Sharpton involved? That’s all Crenshaw needs to hit for the cycle!

  • Maggie

I cannot believe Crenshaw continues to do this to herself. It just keeps getting worse.

As for the “two individuals from New Mexico,” they want to take the higher road and stay out of her craziness, which is why they haven’t bothered to refute her ridiculous accusations. I know most of us probably assume that’s the case, but I feel the need to stand up for them now that those accusations are in a press release, as full of misspellings as they are.

Crenshaw’s claims that they attacked her and tried to manipulate voters is completely untrue… just unequivocally false. When they spread the word that something bad was happening in Precinct 3549 that night, they had no idea who she was. They just saw a wrong being committed and wanted someone to know about it. And by the way, they find it humorous that she keeps calling them “white.” You know, being from New Mexico with Hispanic surnames and all…

I know the reputations of two New Mexicans is the least of what everyone is fascinated/appalled/humored by here… but it’s worth mentioning nonetheless.

Wick’s ex wife! Zing! Straight from middle school.

And the snarky reference is actually: “Sorry to be peevish, but FB is too often a snarky celebration of ignorance.

    Virginia Postrel · October 13, 2004 11:06 AM”

I think we’re doing a fine job of celebrating ignorance! Thanks for your fine contribution. Wheeee!

  • Anne McKinney-Page

So…I guess my being half HIspanic and half Anglo doesn’t count either?

And for the record….I refer to myself as “BOTH” when asked to choose.

  • Tey

    Beats “Hanglo”.

I dont’ want to even pronounce my makeup. I think Mutt suffices.

  • Bethany

I thought we were going for “the biggest orgy of self-indulgent, mass-delusional conduct” now. We’re still celebrating ignorance?

  • Tey

    You didn’t get the memo?

What do you think we were talking about over our lunch salads? *sigh*

  • MIssing Dots

Love the photo. It’s so simple yet says so much. Any word on if Fisher will be selling prints? I’d love to have one of these.

Will they be serving Cactus Juice at the meeting?

  • Chris

this week, I plan to spend all my time at dallasblog.com, LFT at Victory Park, and the hill country living in Lantana.

  • otto

    “Every village has it’s idiot.”

Er, I think you mean “its” idiot. Possessive “its” has no apostrophe (as opposed to the contraction of “it is, which does).

But I agree, this [insert current FB target or laureate] sure is [insert snarky slam or batter-dipped praise].

  • Not Racist

This is a bit off subject…but why do so-called press releases from angry black (or hispanic)activists have so many grammar problems?

  • John

what ever happened to the video of the ‘near riot’ that night?

  • AJ

I’ve been considering buying a house. The one area that’s been an issue for me/wife is getting in a good school district and whether we do public or private. Now that I know it can be both public and private, it’s win-win. Stupid me for not researching this more in-depth.

My dreams have come true on a random Tuesday at 3:53 p.m.! Thank you, Sandra.

  • the amanda

Tim looks terrible in red, and I wish he would lose the weave…

  • Sean

    Dear Typical,
Does that mean I can’t even make comments about the pedophile priest, Robert Peebles, who took me on a fishing trip when I was 16 and tried to get me drunk, but I was too afraid to go home with beer on my breath so nothing (thank goodness) ever happened. I can’t comment on THAT BAST*RD?!

  • Huh

thanks otto. maybe i was speaking og me?

  • Bethany

My index finger is tired, that’s a lot of scrolling to do. I blame work for intruding.

Tey: You didn’t get the memo about memos? In the interest of appearing greener, we’re doing phone chains now. You were supposed to call me and tell me we were snarking, not orgying. Gosh.

John: I don’t think you’ll see that video.

the amanda: Tim looks nice in a red sweater, too.

    Not Racist: They don’t.

And finally, before piling on anyone else regarding grammar, usage, spelling, etc., I suggest we all take a gander at this (at the very least): http://news.zdnet.co.uk/itmanagement/0,1000000308,39273376,00.htm

I think the nexy month’s cover (is it too late for April) should be kind of meta — a reference to the famous SI cover.

It will be simply a picture of Sandra Crenshaw, sweating if possible, maybe even doing the Texas Two Step* into a Denny’s, with the simple but bold declaration:

    BERSERK!

    Or maybe even:

    BESERK [sic] !

  • Daniel

    * The Texas Two Step is a Western Dance.

  • Daniel

next month’s. not nexy [sic] month’s

  • Tey

    Oh my…phone chains. So, trampy!
(She said chains and orgying in the same paragraph.) *Cue Beavis and Butthead*

I am significantly overdressed if we are to orgy. My bad.

Sean..don’t answer the phone with anything with “zoid” in the caller ID field.

  • Daniel

CALL-OUT QUOTE OR CUTLINE FOR PHOTO:

Crenshaw, who suffers from muscle and skeleton ailments and is on limited disability was reduced to a criminal as the bloggers made fun of her indigency.

  • Puddin'Tane

Now that it’s after 5 (and after reading all of today’s episode) has me pondering an adult beverage…..

vodka and cactus juice: the BESERKTINI

    Cheers! Sho ’nuff!!!

  • For the record...

    A nearly-blinding lightbulb just clicked on…

Adelfa Callejo to debate Sandra Crenshaw! LIVE! On the radio!

    Judges are: James Carville (”Hillary just misspoke herself”, excusing Hillary’s graphic, repeated, and now outed claim of ducking under sniper fire on a Bosnian trip as first lady);

and Gen. Merrill McPeak (who compared Bill Clinton to the infamous Sen. Joseph McCarthy.)

thank you, thank you (blushes, clutches thrown rose as applause thunders.)

  • Steve

I think I may have found the problem:

Maybe she didn’t read the instructions.

This lady loves to get herself deeper and deeper into the hole. Hilarious!
