Just a few minutes ago, Sandra Crenshaw sent the following e-mail to officials at Henry S. Miller, the Highland Park Department of Public Safety, and Dallas City Hall:
FOR IMMEDIATE ATTENTION: PROTESTS PLANNED IN HIGHLAND PARK
Please join freedom of speech within bounds, national mental health advocacy groups, and democratic party activists across the nation in demanding that D Magainze and its executive editor , Tim Rodgers adhere to the standard rules of conduct on their blog, “Frontburner and the standards of journalism in their publications.
I have been accused of voter fraud on the D magazine blogs. Further, anonymous and named bloggers have attempted to practice medicine without a license by diagnosing me as having a mental illness and directing me to several agencies for help. I have never been diagnosed as such. Some of the blogs are considered a false light invasion of my privacy even though I am a public figure. Further, making a mockery of the mental ill is considered despicable and irresponsible by mental health advocacy groups. Said groups maintain that those suffering from cancer and other illnesses are not subjected to abusive public humiliation Recently a Dallas blogger, Rufus Shaw committed suicide and murdered his wife after they told a pastor they could not endure the public humiliation from allegations of criminal wrongdoings. When asked if the magazine would consider implementing procedures that would require all bloggers to adhere to standard rules of conduct and that would require service providers to identify the bloggers for civil and criminal prosecution if they injured citizens or engaged in criminal activity on their blog. The executive editor, Tim Rodgers stated that they had considered it and they were not going to act in good faith and instead stood by freedom of speech and the right to an opinion. He further notified me that he was going to release the audio of the taped conversation on the blogs in which I shared with him my personal feelings about the sucide and how I felt my life was endangered by the same people who drove the Shaws to ending their lives. When I asked him ” Is it legal to tape a conversation without my knowledge,” he said “Yes.” When I asked him, did he see this act as being irresponsible and a threat to my live, he said “It didn’t matter , it was all legal and that it was okay to talk to his attorney I responded but in “good faith. I ask that all advertisers in this magazine refrain from supporting the unethical and irresponsible practices of D Magazine. We will be asking your consumers and clients the same.

We would like the legalities, policy and procedures in the respective cities for consideration of the following beginning as early as 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2008. We will act within the city policies and may adjust to addresses within the city with the most enabling laws.

I very much resent the suggestion that Ms. Crenshaw’s protest will be pointless. I see this as an important, possibly even historic opportunity for dialogue between two segments of our community family that have too long been estranged. Like, since before the Civil War. Having thought about it for a few minutes now, I think this should be taken seriously. Very very serioulsy. I am calling the television news desks now.

Then there will be another protest, with another, very noisy arrest scene. These will all be accompanied by ever-escalating blog entries that will themselves be worth the price of admission. For the gawkers. Our first point of contact was the merchants at Highland Park Village, which appears to be the largest advertiser in D. Magazine. Bloggers you may follow up with our activities by contacting the merchants at Highland Park Village to inquire what and who may have contacted them. Secondly, our next plan of action was to contact each Highland Park resident door to door who may be consumers of any of the merchants for support of our cause. ( Ask Lake Highlands the neighborhood of Alan Walne. They remember 2000.) Therefore, bloggers may followup by visiting door to door to any address in Highland Park and inquire at each house that does not have a “no soliciting or handbills sign” per instructions from HPPD. Should you get tired and exhausted, please ask for a drink of the complimentary cactus juice that we left at each home. Ask Charlie, did he say that those were the Pat Longs that he introduced me to as witnesses that a black female was seen talking to him, however only Charlie can attest to what the conversation was about. Just because you ask DMag or any other publication to do a story, doesn’t mean they have to do it. And since the media isn’t really clamoring to cover your story, you should be thankful to this blog for getting your story out (even if it is absolutely hilarious and hard to decipher your logic).
Sandra, to really get your story out, you should have somebody follow you with a video camera. Not only would this document all the atrocities against you, but it would make for some priceless comedy.

I find this thread fascinating, absolutely teetotally fascinating, on a couple of levels. Probably the most interesting level for me is I see Sandra as a product of the Wright kind of racism. I see Wright racism as the reality of our racial relationships here in the good old USA.

One of the advantages of being a boy toy to an older woman is the older women are usually secure enough in themselves to not be bothered about age, not even the appearances thereof.
There is one disadvantage to loving an older woman though I must confess. For many years I claimed the title of artist. An artist of course is defined as someone who does it for the doing and who has a significant other with a real job. My wife retired last year……I’m having difficulty adjusting.
Harvey, on my last birthday I claimed to be 83, so people would tell me I looked phenomenal for my age. It worked.
You also wouldn’t believe the shots people buy you when you say you’re 83 and it’s 1 a.m. in a bar.

I do not doubt for a second that Sandra is quite intelligent, because regardless of the plotline presented in Forrest Gump, you do not get the opportunities she’s been presented based purely on dumb luck. You do have to have a modicum of intelligence and gumption to be able to do it.

Sometimes all it comes down to is “the doing of a thing.” Action and movement are sometimes all it takes and not necessarily related to intelligence or having significance.

Anne, I refer to my wife as “the best thing about me.” I would never refer to her as “my old lady”. But that’s me.
I tried to get her to marry me for many years. I understood her concerns, me being me and all that. Then one day out in Arizona I came across a hot air balloon chase team. One thing led to another. Another happening to be exchanging vows in hot air balloon five thousand feet above Sedona Arizona.
This morning there was about fourteen of us for breakfast. It was a feast. Afterwards as us guys and most of the gals were in serious digestion mode in the living room I heard a commotion out on the deck. It was my wife playing with the almost two year old granddaughter.
One of the mysteries about my wife for me is how she can seem to do the impossible. Everyone else I know that’s child like is also some of the time childish. I don’t find that in her. She can instantly be on a two year old’s level and never really abandon the role of being an adult. Amazing.
Bethany, your 83 at 1 a.m. made me smile. We lost my 93 three year old galfriend last October. She loved good jokes, the more bawdy, the better. My favorite of her favorites was the one about the old boy in the rest home with the girlfriend who would supply a womans touch on occasion. One day she found herself replaced.
The next day she confronted him over lunch in front of God and everyone. “What does she have that I don’t?” she asked.
“Parkinsons” was his reply.
Jim, your comment about Sandra kinda sorta confirms something I suspected when I read her postings here. It was almost like watching a movie conversation without sound.
I couldn’t help but feel that if we put Sandra talking to a group of south Dallas blacks everything she said would start to make sense even though her words on their own lose merit as printed word. The delivery and response would have power and meaning because that’s the culture. Not unlike the difference between Wright’s racism as black letters on a white page versus being in the audience and feeling more than hearing it.

JimS, I’ve actually been pleasantly surprised at the relative absence of anti-black racism used in humorous repsonses to Ms. Crenshaw’s perplexing behavior. Indeed, posters are actually being so fair-minded that one of them — um, you — actually insisted that she is “intellectually worthy of Harvard.”
Her “intellect” is “raw,” you say? What a terrific credential for an elected official: She composes sentences like a first-grader, conducts herself as if she has lost all reason, and sees enemies worthy of vicious attack behind every shrub. But “otherwise,” she’s bright?

I don’t think a college degree, much less participation on an acclaimed debate team, is a requirement for public office or success in life. Similarly, military service isn’t a necessity. However, it’s a potentially FALSE claim of academic success, just as with false claims of military glory, that’s so wrong.
If Sandra was indeed a member of the TSU debate team, she serves that team and that institution poorly with her communications. If she was not, just as with the many who claim to have been an heroic Navy SEAL, whatever, she should be exposed as a fraud.

Sandra has not claimed in any of several official resume postings to be either a college graduate or a debate star. (OK, I’ll say it, “for the record.”) There was an earlier post questioning her comment from poster “Wayne”, which I’m mentioning here “for the record.”
However, Sandra claimed to have “studied” under Freeman at TSU as a member of that storied debate team. That’s specifically what I’m questioning. That, and why nobody has called her bluff to debate her on a radio show – maybe sheer volume on her part? Or the old admonition against wrestling with pigs – you both get muddy, but the pig actually enjoys it.
And Jett, since you probably ripped off that great comment, I won’t feel guilty about quoting it without attributing you in my next bar argument.
Technically, she said she was a member of TSU’s speech team.
“…(I am not a product of DISD) but I study under Dr. Thomas Freeman who was recognized in the movie the Great Debates. I was member of the TSU Speech Team which is nationally recognized…”
But I think since it was the debate team that was recognized, we can assume she meant the debate team, and not the speech team. I guess. Maybe. I don’t know.

Not incidentally, TSU has no organization called the “Speech Team”, as far as Ms. Google could tell me (and I went 40-deep.) The debate team is well known and respected. There is a single reference from an individual voice talent who claimed to have been the president of the “TSU Speech and Debate Team” for five years, but given the grammatical errors in that listing, it’s questionable as well.

As a former TV and Radio Talk Show Host, I have great radio and television debate experience….but, I am now a farmer’s wife, having been out of the political loop thanks to several years of country living.
I suggest we call up someone who IS in the loop….who IS experienced in the Black Community…someone who would NOT mind pointing out the years and years of her political antics.
I propose we call John Wiley Price, an old aquaintance of mine….and let him blow her lies out of the water.
She thinks that she is pretty safe from the “Anglo” community…as she can always fall back on the Race card when someones calls her statements into question.

2. Her skilled use of reason has been demonstrated repeatedly. Who could argue against such rational as “I read blogs all of the time” and in the next sentence “I really don’t have the time to read or write blogs.” I mean, most politicians would have waited at least two paragraphs before contradicting themselves. To those of us used to reading the normal political tripe, this was indeed refreshing, and I would argue, quite brilliant.
3. Through her adept knowledge of tort litigation she is attempting to manipulate her cyber environment. And one can sense her broad abstract thinking through the use of accusations that have no actual legal basis.
The best part, of course, is that these displays of extraordinary intellectual power will no doubt get her re-elected to the Dallas City Council in the near future.
Personally, I can’t wait.

Yet these white individuals post blogs telling a different story and the bloggers sit at this site as judge and jury as though the white mouths from New Mexico are the gospel. So can Anne tell me what was done illegal, I got lost between the period and the missing dots. What lies has crenshaw posted to this blog, I got lost with the directions to the mental instituions I was trying to write down as referrals for this blog. I graduated from TSU and we had a speech and debate team and it is plain, Crenshaw said she was a member of the speech team. Let me get this straight. Sandra Crenshaw, on her own, has made many incomprehensible posts on this blog. Some of the other posters responded to these posts with mild insults. Sandra Crenshaw was so offended that she threatened to picket the publisher, complained to the NAACP, went to Court to get the names of the posters, and is currently trying to force this blog to censor its posters. John and I were friends through the 80s, and 90s when we both worked hard to improve job opportunities for People of Color, and for Women at the Dallas Times Herald.

As you probably know I’m one of those heatherns from hell known as an atheist. What’s interesting from my perspective about that is I try my damnedest to live what the religious preach when they talk about hating the sin and loving the sinner.
Sandra probably tests this for me better than most. You see I don’t see Sandra as an idiot. When I see Sandra I see a failure of the system, evidence of our racism screwing up others lives. She’s only coping with her problems with the tools she’s acquired from the inventory we’ve provided.
Funny thing about tools, if all we’ve ever been given is a hammer then when we are handed a screwdriver we assume it’s supposed to be used like a hammer. After we get the screwdriver uses down pat sometimes we’ll get frustrated with a task and guess what happens? Invariably we resort back to trying to use a screwdriver as a hammer.
So when I see Sandra talking lawyers I see someone using a hammer because they’ve never been taught there are some really kewel tewels out there created just for that task. Her using the hammer isn’t because she’s stupid or even necessarily mean spirited. She’s using the hammer because we never took the time to teach her about kewel tewels.
I believe all offense is defense. So when we see someone attacking like Sandra is we have to first step back and question ourselves about why she would feel threatened by us. What does she see in us that is so scary that she’d lash out like she has? The next question of course has to be about the value of maybe attempting to calm her fears instead of validating them.
Actually Sandra has provided us with the perfect example of offense being defense when it comes to racism. I see her lashing out because she is afraid of being held back because she’s African American and a woman. With her lashing out like she has we see the worst fears of the racists being validated. The racists are afraid of African Americans and women being irrational when in power. What we end up with is both sides of the issue acting in ways that verify stereotypes.
I’ve got to go to work, yup, Sunday, and a man has to do what a man has to do, mostly because Monday is supposedly going to be a rain day and welding in the rain, well, interesting is an understatement.
Look what White people are hearing from Ms. Crenshaw is what all Black people in Dallas who disagree with her have heard for years. It is not about race. It’s about Ms. Crenshaw and what she and only she believes, D just happen to be owned by whites.I am a party to the suite and I did not even know it was going on. What I wrote on my blog about Rufus and Lynn is still there and can be printed off by anyone so I am not sure why I am being sued. So now you know what we in the Southern sector have dealt with for years.

For the record Ms. Crenshaw I have never breach the confidential clause of the State and Federal law as it relates to any communicable disease. Because of statements like your ,I never had an access code to open the HIV file. I have never called anyone’s name with having HIV. Your last message is a good example. I believe you are asking for the owners of restaurants who feel they’ve been falsely accused on Front Burner to unite with you in a lawsuit. But I’m not sure and I don’t feel I’m alone on this.
I’m a pretty regular reader of Front Burner. I don’t ever recall anyone peddling the kinds of falsehoods about restaurants you’ve mentioned. So I have a hard time understanding not only what you are saying, but why you are saying it.

When there are over 50 posters responding to tim’s post, I imagine it’s hard for everyone to understand that I am responding to specific posters. In the future, I will address the respective post.
I am not suing bloggers. I am suing maggie for libel, bethany for tortious interference and various other claims, and Tim Rodgers if repeating the interference is actionable. I am still researching ALL of the legal grounds for my claims against anne-mckinney page For all of the above, I am researching all actionable claims. I have filed criminal charges against three black females who I can identify for assault and stalking charges. The offense is not in dispute because of the witnesses and the security surveillance camera, However the DPD and the City Attorney are reviewing the matter to see if the offense should be referred to the District Attorney or the Department of Justice because of the extra protection given officials who are trying to carry out an election process. If angry voters can engage in force, then no one would volunteer for these jobs.

Here, Harvey, I am in the process of contacting the advertisers at D Magazine by categories like school, dentists, realtors, etc. to ask them to join me not in suing, but in an effort to “encourage the government officials to support proposed legislation against anoymnous bloggers” where anymous counselor posted. I have contacted every mental health agency in NOrth Texas asking to check their computers for a 4:01 p.m post from possibly a mental health employee. We do know that the lists she provided here is an outdated one. I have asked Florence Shapiro and DAn Branch is they will sponsor said legislation in Texas. There are many cases before the court where crimes have been committed against persons, personal medical records, and false claims of health violations have been put into cyberspace without the victims having recourse. I have had to retain the services of private investigators and barter with them for assistance in locating the following so that they can be served civil process. I have contacted maggie, who all I know is that she lives on the 11th floor with three polling places near her apartment, she was educated in New Mexico
(ie the attorneys from New Mexico who stayed in her home for the primary) and bethany, and mckinney, who from here lives in the country not Dallas County, I have contacted the NM Bar Association and the DOJ to help locate Laura Sanchez to stand charged with stalking charges of an election official. You can be assured after the conduct toward the precinct officials, there were over 60 armed and uniformed law enforcement officials at the 23rd Senatorial Convention alone. The Obamantors were made to wait for over 11 hours before they were seated Saturday night. The convention ended at 2:30 a.m. and will be challenged because West put items on consent agendas and closed the nominations for at large delegates as soon as he realized that the floor was going to take all. Trust me, very few risked having a gun put in their face, so they mumbled and grumbled quietly as the credential committees read them their challenges. Those who went beyong grumbling like they did in 3549 will get their day before the legal system and the courts.
