Dallas Water Utilities Hosting Water-Wise Seminars
This seems timely since planting season is fast approaching.
Two Water-Wise landscape seminars – Water-Wise Landscape Design 101 and Fantastic Plants for North Texas – will be held this Saturday, March 15, at Brookhaven College. They will both feature Bonnie Reese, a well-known local landscape designer and author of Common Sense Landscaping. A drawing will be held at the end of each seminar for a free consultation with Reese.

Will they have a sister series to tell you how to self-medicate by simply drinking the water? That’s been a popular story this week, speaking of municipal water supplies.
I recall reading somewhere that Dallas Water Utilities loses more water between the treatment plant and the tap (due largely to poorly maintained infrastructure and deficient monitoring systems) than just about any comparable utility in the U.S.
Anyone know if this is true?
