Re: Leading Off
During the year I contributed to Dallasblog, I met Rufus and Lynn at a barbecue co-owner Tom Pauken held at his home. The two were gracious and engaging. Rufus regularly helped me build my list of contacts with people both at city hall and in the southern sector, and his take on local issues was always eye opening. He seemed like one of those rare types who was totally engaged and passionate but who refused to give into cynicism despite a lifetime of swimming against the tide.
