Dallas Just Got Darker

photo.jpgOne of the two addictions I will admit to is my weekly comic jones. I was at the dealer a few minutes ago getting my regular fix (hi Richard) when I noticed this new title, Dark Dallas, complete with the neon cowboy who keeps a silent watch over Interstate 35. It’s published locally and written/illustrated by a couple of local boys, Mike Heronime and Eric Robinson. Looks gritty, grisly, and like a Harry Hunsicker story turned into a graphic novel. No tights and no flights. Look to the print version of FrontBurner for an upcoming review of the debut issue.

Hey, I write “Dark Dallas” and I am beyond thrilled about the coverage it is receiving from D magazine. Just wanted to clarify that I am actually from Boston, so please forgive any incorrect colloquialisms or gratuitous Red Sox references (of which there a few). I hope everyone enjoys reading the book as much as I do writing it.

FrontBurner® has been called the best blog in town (recently, and repeatedly), a snarky celebration of ignorance, and a daily conversation about Dallas among the editors of D Magazine.
