It’s probably her brillant ads, the one where she emotes over helping one person every day. At that rate, in a million years, she will help all of America. Let’s hope it’s not the kind of help she gave Juanita Broderick, Kathleen Willey, or Vince Foster. It’s also great that she “finally found her voice” the first week of January, because heaven forbid a canidate have a voice before throwing her tacky pantsuits into the ring.
Trey Garrison@ February 15th, 2008 at 3:18 pm
I think the swipe about Vince Foster is unfair. Clearly, he shot himself and then dragged his own corpse across Fort Marcy Park, making sure not to get any wet grass on his shoes. IJS.
the amanda@ February 15th, 2008 at 3:29 pm
Agreed, Trey. Sorry about that. Maybe Ms. Rodham could help us by setting up national cattle futures investment seminars. Then we could afford healthcare. 2 birds, 1 stone.
Ron@ February 16th, 2008 at 4:05 pm
Indeed, Hillary Clinton has found her voice, and guess what? It sounds a lot like Barack Obama’s.
Romy Schermerhorn@ February 17th, 2008 at 12:29 pm
Forgive me if I’m puzzled but, after all, I’m merely a Brit. Just what does Mrs. Clinton want to change? The two of them had eight years in the White House, and they changed nothing except Monica’s dry cleaning bills. Or maybe they did, and she wants to change it back. Change? The best change I can think of is for Hill to run back to NY with her tail between her ever heftier thighs. She managed to fool the New Yorkers. Does that mean she can fool the entire nation? Get real, Texas. Obama is the only hope out there, and he may be everyone’s last chance for some real and beneficial change. Vote, and vote Obama.
Peggy@ February 24th, 2008 at 9:06 am
Ron has it wrong. Obama sounds like Hillary. Check your facts on who said what first. Or even just listen to what Whoopi Golberg said. In case you don’t know: she said she changed to Clinton because she found that Clinton had said some of the things Obama was claiming a full year before he did. Check it out.
Jack Van@ February 24th, 2008 at 1:56 pm
This is a one time remark from me - so all you that want to attack me for what I say - I won’t even be reading it .
I am a black man from Oakland California - in an area that needs lots of financial assistance to keep things moving - the Clintons have their own office in the area and has ALWAYS assisted us in our needs - as of now Bill Clinton along with Brad Pitt is assisting the people in New Orleans to recover.
Why then are my black brothers and sisters going along with Obama - is it hope - hope that once in office - everything will turn our way - Obama and Clinton were asked to participate in New Orleans to help rebuild the city - the city that voted against Hillary - Obama was too busy being in the heart of his campaign - guess who accepted the invitation — WAKE MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS in Texas - smell the roses.
Laura Young@ February 25th, 2008 at 3:08 pm
I wouldn’t put too much stock in the ARG poll. They had Senator Clinton leading WI by 10 points the day before that primary.
As far as Senator Clinton’s “voice” I’d rather have her voice and her ACTION speaking for me than the same old rhetoric of making promises with no plans in place to make them a reality.
Mike from Canada@ February 28th, 2008 at 8:42 am
Like every other person living outside the USA and a citizen of another country I see the influence of your way too in your face media once again influencing a vast majority of an uninformed electorate.
The intelligencia in order to cover their rich and privileged background and status adopt Obama like they adopt children paying $20/month to organizations like Save the Children. The press fed up with the haughtiness of the Clintons and longing to hold on to their disappearing readers need to shape this election to prove to themselves that they are still pertinent. Most not caring about politics and its accompanied avarice would vote for anything this year that resembles something “different”. When I hear people try and describe what will change in American politics it numbs my head.Bringing people together is not what leaders do. They lead and tell people to fall in line.Bringing the dems and republicans together would only be an exercise in compromise that wouldn’t really solve any of the problems facing your country.
The question shouldn’t be change-that even Obama has a difficult time describing its about leadership. Frankly everyone in the democratic party seems satisfied with either candidate according to the polls to the point of wanting both of them on a ticket.
What you need to determine is who is the real leader of those two in order to really contest the coming election.
I feel sorry for the African American voters and leaders. They don’t get to choose. They have to vote Obama for Historical reasons. They shouldn’t be trying to elect the first Black President but the best president and the fact that the press is overwhelmingly favoring Obama for little reason should be proof that indeed that race is an issue.
There is no doubt that all candidates are smart, dedicated and fortuitous but the USA and the rest of the free world is at stake here please leave out popularity in your voting decision as well as duty to race and gender.
Although all the pundits are mostly pleased with the choice of your candidates I am left wondering that with a country of over 300 million people is there not someone who could lead your country and allow you to enjoy life without being political pawns every two years or so.
The rest of the world doesn’t care about the skin color, gender or if he slept with whom what we care about when we look at you and politics is for you to have an informed electorate making choices not on change but on who is the best leader for the job of leader of the free world.

Listen up!
Obama is not a black Messiah. He is the Wizard of Oz, (you remember- that “Great and Powerful Oz” who turned out to be no more than a little man behind a curtain with no real power..)
Obama says little and leaves it to you to fill in the dots and project any fantasies of change into him that you can conjure up.
What he said in New Hampshire was more revealing than anything else: “YOU are the Wave and I’M RIDING IT”
The man is a populist “surfer”, like Huey Long and other demagogues, trying to ride America’s current longing for redemption and restoration of former greatness into the White House. Has he ever CREATED change? Not on your life (and your life will depend on his ability to do so if you elect him President).
Even now, he is trying to lower expectations with comments like “Change is hard, YOU have to be “ready” for change” (In other words, if change doesn’t come- don’t blame me- blame yourself)
You remember the old Psychiatrist joke:”How many Psychiatrists does it take to change a light bulb?” Answer: “One, but the lightbulb really has to want to change!
That, in a nutshell- is Obamas “leadership”–stir up the misguided masses with rhetoric, get them to “demand ” change from the legislature , hope change happens for the better and, if it doesn’t, blame them!.
As John Quincy Adans once said : “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, THEN you are a leader.”
That quote applies to Hillary Clinton who has devoted her life to helping others-not an arrogant carefully-controlled ***** who has spent over 18 years being mentored by the pastor of anti-white church who reveres Farrakhan and thinks that a speech made at an anti-war rally qualifies him for the white house.
This is our savior? this is our “unifier?
This is a joke, right? or hopefully, I will wake up in the morning and find that it was just a bad dream caused by “bush” indigestion (no pun intended).
andrew@ April 4th, 2008 at 11:59 pm

Hat tip to The Plank, but they are right: the Clinton camp cannot be happy about this particular poll, even though it shows her in the lead:
