Speaking Of Gas Stations

Timmy, I’m glad you brought up the troubling subject of gas stations. They are disappearing from Dallas intersections at an alarming rate. In their place? Banks. How many banks does one person need? Last night I discovered that my full-service Shell station on the corner Preston and Royal is shuttered. I guess the next time I need air in my tires I’m going to have to buy new tires. Seems like the banks and the gas stations should merge into one service unit where you can fill up your tank while you deplete your savings account. Point of purchase products—like D Magazine—would fly off the shelves. IJS.

At the corner of Coit and the Bush Tollway in Plano there was a big Chevron station. It closed a while back, and I still can’t figure out why. The place was always packed, AND they had a Krispy Kremes. I don’t see how that happened, but maybe there’s gonna be a bank there, too.
