Ebby to Back O’Hare’s Mayoral Run

Just heard that Ebby Halliday is going to be backing immigration strongman Tim O’Hare in his bid for mayor of Farmers Branch. I think I speak for many when I ask, whiskey tango foxtrot?

    Seriously?

Maybe this has something to do with it.

Or maybe she, like the vast majority of the voting public in Texas and the United States, agrees with his stance on enforcing immigration laws. Maybe that’s it.

It’s funny that Mr. By-The-Book conservative, Trey, is so confused by this issue. Though I know the mandate to support illegals comes down from Wick. There will be a lot of dirty houses and overgrown yards in Highland Park if movements like this pick up more steam.

How could anyone agree with Farmers Branch’s version of immigration law, which is basically “enforce immigration laws to run poor people out of town legally so we can build more mansions and become Frisco”?

  • Mike

They’re not targeting “poor” people. They’re targeting criminals.

Mike, I think you’re way off.

    1. Illegal immigration is a civil violation. Violators are not “criminals.”

    2. Believe me, if Farmers Branch could target all poor people, they would.

If all the illegal immigrants in town came from Monte Carlo and bought $3 million homes, Tim O’Hare would have no problem.

Can you blame them for wanting their city to resemble Frisco instead of Oak Cliff? I’m not sure if you’ve noticed this, but it’s no coincidence that wherever the immigrants live is usually dirty, unsafe, has awful schools and broken hospitals, and it generally an undesired place to live. Look at Garland. Look at Mesquite. These were nice towns at one point. It’s funny that the intersection of 78 and Miller Road in Garland used to be a totally vibrant area. Now there’s a day labor pick-up area there, a high immigrant population and the area is a $hithole. Maybe Farmer’s Branch is just trying to preserve itself.

    thanks, Mike.

You have just made my point. To Farmers Branch, immigration is just another NIMBY problem.

Ebby Halliday is the closest thing to a Nazi that Dallas has. But go ahead and buy a house from her. Really–go ahead.
