Harold Simmons just gave another $50 million to UTSouthwestern’s “Innovations in Medicine” Center, bringing the total to $741 million. What a nice sendoff to retiring president (and all-around Dallas hero) Kern Wildenthal.

    I wonder if this means that Harold Simmons and his kin will get access to some super-exclusive phone number that guarantees them access to a doctor while other po folks who haven’t donated a dime wait endlessly in the emergency room?
