Restaurant Inspection Reports Are On SideDish Blogroll

Jack, I mean Trey, if you’ll triangulate your coordinates here you’ll find a link to the results of the Health Department’s food inspection scores for Dallas restaurants. Copy that?

    Oooo — snap!

Dallas only publishes the raw scores; Fort Worth appears to be publishing the entire inspection report. Tray’s point still stands.

There’s no way to tell from the Dallas site why that bar you always go to got 15 demerits in the last inspection. Was it a dead rat in the ice machine that cost 14 points, or was it 7 dirty surfaces each costing 2 points?

I think I’d be ashamed if I ran a better restaurant scoring lower than an Exxon station - consistently.

Jamesn is right in saying the score doesn’t say much, other than you may want to pass on places that can’t score, say, 90 consistently.
