Crap!! It’s the intro song to my wedding video. Hell if I know. And don’t tell my wife.

  • Pweesey

Are you talking about Pachelbel’s Canon in D?

  • Pweesey

  • Cindy

Lindsay is right; it is Ave Maria.

  • CDD

Ave Maria is not a Christmas song.

  • Pweesey

all I know is Canon is played at just about every wedding as the wedding party comes in, and Trans Siberian Orchestra recorded Christmas Canon which is very popular

Go Tell It On the Mountain.

Is it “The Thong Song”? “You’re the Reason God Made Oklahoma”? “Say Goodbye” by Triumph? “What About Me?” by Moving Pictures? Anything by Quarterflash? I could do this all day.

  • Craig

I believe you’re thinking of “Sexecutioner” by Gwar.

  • Idunno

It is not Ave Maria, Canon in D is correct.

  • (Another) Lindsay

Ave Maria was my first thought - but what most people recognize as the “wedding” version is Shubert’s, and often the “Christmas” version is Franz Biebl’s. The St. Mark’s choir just did a version in their Nine Lessons and Carols on Tuesday, but I’m not sure from which composer (it wasn’t Schubert).

If the wedding had a Renaissance Faire theme, I would say “Greensleeves”/”What Child is This?” would be your song.

  • Idunno

    Pweesey got it, listen here.

Bach’s “Sheeps may safely graze” is often played at weddings, and is also a Christmas song… Trying to find a link to it, but i think looking on iTunes for it will be more successful.

  • Emily

    Good lord. Sheep. not Sheeps.

“Hill Street Blues” by Mike Post? “Affair of the Heart” by Rick Springfield? “Living Inside Myself” by Gino Vannelli? “I Go Crazy” by Paul Davis? “Caught Up in You” by .38 Special? Do you just want me to download my iPod list?
