Me Be More Clear Write Now Time

A comment on my Leading Off post (No. 3) asks:

“Hope stays alive.” about what? That republican representation will go away or that illegal immigration will disappear off the radar screen.

Wick had the same question, but phrased it in less-pleasant terms. I was saying I’m glad someone who discusses real political issues beat someone who panders to voters on the over-hyped, over-heated illegal immigration issues. I will try to be more clear in the future.

Gee I can’t imagine Wick saying “WTF?”

We don’t need to be popping Wick’s bubble here at xmas time or he will get all Lou Dobbs on your a**

  • Sky Masterson

Thank you for informing us that illegal immigration is not a “real political issue.” Glad you cleared that up…

  • Julie

Another sign that my Dems are going to STEAMROLL all the Repubs in 2008, and then we can finally get back to some sanity in our government and our country. Sorry Wick–your party and your buddy Shrub has severely damaged the US, and everyone knows it and will vote accordingly.

Julie…I think it is important to encourage our Repuke friends to vote for Mike Huckabee.

We know that Wick is a fan. It would fantastic for him to get the nomination.

Jesus and Jack would love it.

Wick is thinking that Shrub in going to make him Ambassador to Ibizia or somesuch

The real “sign” here is actually a signal to Speaker Tom Craddick. Throwing money in every race in order to defeat the opposition forces in pro-Republican territory just won’t work. The local voters have now seen the light. They don’t want someone elected by 1/150th of the State running around acting like an autonomous ruler. It’s just the first crack in the dam, the flood will come in March of ‘08.

Incidentally, taking nothing away from Dan Barrett’s impressive victory last night, HD97 will be back in Republican control by the start of the upcoming Legislative Session. Just don’t expect a pledge card for the current Speaker to go along.

“we can finally get back to some sanity in our government and our country. ”

gee Julie the Dimocrats have had control of both of Houses of the US Congress. What have they been able to achieve in this first session ? not much and their approval ratings are way lower than the Presidents. I imagine if they gain control of the Texas Lege we’ll just see the same except on a smaller scale

  • Hell Yeah!

    Hell yeah, Sky…We’re with you!

These tree huggin’ commies need to learn a thing or two about this very real political issue. How about tomorrow we start our morning by firing your landscaper, maids, the guys you hired to build your fence and swimming pool, and that sweet add-on bathroom.

After that, we’ll grab the pitchforks and burning torches and head down to the local tom thumb to take down those bastards stocking the shelves, busing the tables at that bad ass new italian place, and maybe even find a way to track down those ******** who built your house!

See you at the klan rally!
