BELLS WILL SOON BE RINGING AT
HOTEL CRESCENT COURT, A ROSEWOOD HOTEL

Uptown Dallas Hotel Transforms Into Holiday Central

DALLAS (November 1, 2007) – Magnificent, blue-tinted sugar castles. Refreshing gingerbread martinis. Revitalizing peppermint facials. The holiday season is in the air and Hotel Crescent Court, A Rosewood Hotel is gearing up for its biggest celebration yet.

“We don’t hold anything back when it comes to the holidays,” said Linda Wan, managing director of Hotel Crescent Court, A Rosewood Hotel. “During the weeks leading up to Christmas, our property is transformed into a holiday dream, and it has become a must-visit destination for area residents.”

The festivities kick off on November 30 with the unveiling of the hotel’s unforgettable Christmas tree. Extravagant as the tree will be, the centerpiece of the lobby will be Executive Chef Gianni Santin’s sugar crystal palace. Perched 12 feet in the air, the palace will be tinted ice blue and teal and feature various towers and drawbridges. The centerpiece, which contains more than 180 pounds of sugar, has been in the works for three months and represents an estimated 240 hours of work from Chef Santin and his newly appointed pastry chef, Eric Perelli.

As if the holidays were not already sweet enough, Santin and team will once again offer their much anticipated series of gingerbread house classes for children. Just as in years past, Santa also will be paying the hotel a visit for Breakfast with Santa each Saturday morning leading up to his big work day.

“This is without a doubt my favorite time of year,” said Santin. “Every year, I have kids in the class who are still giddy because they’ve just met Santa at breakfast, and then get to come build a gingerbread house – It has become a Dallas tradition.”

While the kids are engrossed in gingerbread decoration, other guests will be able to take part in an afternoon tea, which will be offered each weekend of December. Served in beau’s lobby lounge, the formal Lady Primrose tea ritual offers guests various teas, mini pastries, freshly baked scones and assorted finger sandwiches.

Proving that holiday fun isn’t just for the kids, Santin will also offer two adult classes that will feature gingerbread martinis and hors d’oeuvres from Nobu.

Finally, to help Dallasites unwind from all of the holiday stress, the award-winning Spa at The Crescent will feature seasonal treatments. Top on the list this holiday season is the perfect mother / daughter date – a Sugar Plum Fairy pedicure. The treatment features sugar plum scrub, a sugar plum mask and a relaxing foot massage with sugar plum whip moisturizer. Also featured will be the spa’s “Holiday Cheer” package. This four-hour treatment features a cabernet scrub, wine and honey wrap, sauvignon massage and is topped off with champagne refreshments.

“Each year, we put so much effort into making the holidays even better than the year before,” said Wan. “This year is no different, it is a labor of love for us and we hope that everyone enjoys our holiday events as much as we enjoy hosting them.”
