Tim Rogers Makes Triumphant Return to Local Blog
Whoah! Just what in the wide world of sports is going on here at FrontBurner? I step away from the blog for a few days to concentrate on the “print product,” and you guys go and let WICK fill the void? I mean, gimme Paul Kix blogging from Boston about what he read in the New York Times that morning — anything but that Wick Allison fellow.
I’ve been scrolling down real hard this morning, catching up with what I’ve missed over the last week or so. But let me see if I’ve got it all. First Wick tries to draw Mark Cuban offsides with multiple posts about Redacted. Only he manages to draw HIMSELF offsides so badly that he’s unabated to the quarterback, lost in a flame war in the comments section, defending his own military record. (Side note: do we need an internal policy to govern comments? Like, no staffers commenting in the comments about comments on other blogs? Just thinking out loud.)
THEN Wick starts handling all his mom’s financial transactions on the blog. I’m still trying to figure this out.
Then, just yesterday, he goes on a late-afternoon tear, posting stuff that most of the electricity-empowered world had taken notice of and forgotten about 10 hours earlier. Heck, one item Wick addressed had already received a book-length treatment from Jim Schutze. What’s next? Following Steve Blow by two news cycles?
So you clearly need me to step it up. And step it up I shall. My apologies for the absence. God bless us everyone.
