my problem with blogs – although entertaining – is that once posted (and not necessarily suficiently sourced) and then re-posted on other blogs ad nausuem. all of a sudden these posts become FACTS. Scary.

Dude, technology IS scary. I can barely program my alarm clock without hyperventilating. And if you could text-message with those big-ass Jitterbug phones, I’d TOTALLY get in line for one.

That aside, I was amused to discover – purely by accident, as all technology-related “discoveries” are in my world – that the DMN had its own music blog just the other day. Has anyone else seen that? (Judging my the comments left…not many.) What an amazing piece of **** they’ve assembled. I skimmed through an entire month’s worth of entries and I think all I read about were Carrie Underwood, a discussion on how Extreme were the best funk-metal band of their time (I kid you not), and “Dancing With the Stars.” Oh, and I learned that Loverboy are regrouping and have a new record. Because it’s high time we all be reminded how much they FIERCELY sucked, I guess.

It was actually worse than the Observer’s music blog prior to the Jonanna****canna. Amusingly bad. Much like the very un-hip-and-too-old-to-be-in-this-conversation older uncle I’m just a couple years away from being. (ugh)
