Countrywide Bank, Show Me The Money!
Once again, it ran an ad in Sunday’s paper offering 5.3% interest on a CD. It is now Day 18 since my sainted Mother attempted to cash in her Countrywide CD. She still hasn’t seen the money. Yes, it could have been lost in the mail. Yes, Countrywide could just be the victim of cruel fate. Still, that’s 18 days without interest since she first tried to get her money back. Be careful out there.

More Countrywide news: Countrywide falls as Schumer seeks probe of advances. Apparently it appears that the Atlanta Federal Home Loan Bank has been pumping suspiciously large amounts of money into Countrywide to keep it afloat.
The article also refers indirectly to the CD offers mentioned: “Countrywide has been aggressive in seeking to raise cash through deposits”.
If Wick is so desperate for his sainted mom to receiver her check, why doesn’t he just loan her some cash??
I’m sure all those issues of D Mag featuring the Top 20 Dog Walkers in Highland Park (and such) have earned him a few extra pennies.
