TXU Energy Headed to Electric Hotspot

Better known to you as Las Colinas. The company announced today it will move its headquarters there from downtown Dallas, where, let’s face it, there aren’t enough Olive Gardens. Also, why do I get the giggly feeling that energy reporter Elizabeth Souder is inviting your snarky comments when she puts quote marks around the following portion of the story:

TXU Energy also said in a press release Monday that moving to the suburbs will “invigorate our employees” and enable the company to become more “innovative” and “customer-focused.”

  2. Well, it will certainly be harder to now point to a building and say “THAT’S who to blame for our exploding electricity prices.” (Unless of course Henry Kravis or David Bonderman have their names on a building.)

  4. When I think “innovation” I think of a man made canal and a monorail.

I know of several folks who are going to have to buy a better car….lots of those employees took DART to get to work.
