South of the Border Stories

Dallas advertising exec Robert Whitt is a cool guy. I know because I’ve been reading his book, Expat: Survival of an Expatriate in Latin America. There are some hilarious stories, like the time a competing publisher bribed customs officers in Mexico to switch out logos on ads in one of Whitt’s magazines before the page proofs were sent to the printer, causing an uproar from the violated clients. Good stuff.

Hey Wick, you are most kind and generous with your plug for EXPAT. As a new author (of an advanced age) using a title name few people ever heard of, or understand, ergo, adding Expatriate in the sub-title hoping they wil make the connection, my book needs all the help it can get and your plug is a big, big help.

Can we have lunch later this week or early next week?

Many moons ago you asked me if I would share some of my LatAm experiences for your magazine. I will be happy to do it either by writing them or the invertivew process.
