Open your third eye, Plano. You’re the starting point for Indian billionaire Subhash Chandra’s wellness center and entertainment empire in the United States, Forbes says. Chandra, an international media mogul and the 24th richest in India — is gambling $200 million on a U.S.-focused health-and-wellness channel called Veria. Besides the television channel, Chandra plans to open 500 wellness centers in America.
The centers–the first is already open in Plano, Texas–will have spas with yoga and Pilates classes and will sell organic foods, cosmetics and clothing. New centers will open next year in such cities as San Francisco, New York and Chicago.
