That’s what Sam Machkovech is blogging over at Big D Little D. His confirmation comes via a discussion group, so, you know, there’s still a bit of a question mark. But I just got word from someone inside the Observer. It’s true.

    I can’t wait for the announcement to come from Tom Hicks that Zac Crain and Sam Machkovech will be the new co-editors and Jeff Cogen will replace Schutze.

    Seriously, this is great news for the credibility of this once proud position.

    Good news to me too. She left a permanent bad taste in my mouth with that Sid Vicious-compared-to-local-musicians drivel she wrote last month.

    Anybody that thinks that it’s just a coincidence that this story develops the same day it’s announced Reid Slaughter no longer works for the D empire is just crazy.
