Fast-Driving Online Financial Site Founder Gets Barred from Securities Industry
In case you missed it yesterday — and I almost did — Brendan Case and Michael Grabell wrote a heckuva story in the DMN’s business section. Remember MN1.com? The Dallas-based site that typically covers penny stocks but somehow got a sit-down with O.J. Simpson? Case and Grabell wrote about its founder Joshua Lankford. The 33-year-old entrepreneur was recently barred from the securities industry for allegedly pimping stocks on MN1 that his companies had major stakes in not providing testimony and documents in response to an unspecified NASD inquiry. The story, though, is much juicier than that. For instance, there’s a high-speed car chase:
In 2005, police tried to pull Mr. Lankford over after clocking the Lamborghini going 80 mph in a 35-mph zone. According to the police report, Mr. Lankford led officers on a car chase in the Knox-Henderson area, got out at a bar, threw his keys to a valet and fled on foot. When caught, he told police he was laughing throughout the chase, the report said.

We know Joshua Lankford from years ago, and he is the crook of all crooks. Although we are still surprised he could get this far. His all time favorite movie has always been “The Boiler Room.” The article talks about him being a family man, but the guy we knew was always cheating on his wife who was home with his three kids. The sad thing is…he probably has his money hidden all over the world. CROOK, CROOK, CROOK!!!

Too bad a person writing for “D” doesn’t have correct grammar. Brendan Case does not have his facts straight. Why does he have such a boner for Penny Stocks? When someone invests in a Pink, they have to meet certain criteria. It is a GAMBLE…end of story. NON-story Mr. Case!
Also, Mr. Lankford WAS NOT barred from the securities industry, his license expired. Bunghole.
I feel sure MR. (seems a bit of a oxymoron) Lankford has every excuse in the book (his license expired, he didn’t know that his friends had stock in that company, he was taking a gamble…whatever), but the bottom line is this “man” is a crook, crook, crook…I guarantee you he has never once in his life worked a legitimate job, had a legitimate relationship, or earned a legitimate dollar. He may be able to find high dollar lawyers, with high dollar excuses, but at the end of the day, at the end of his life, the TRUTH lies in the TRUTH.

Just another case of media sensationalism fired by allegations and gross exaggeration on vague information. Case and Grable should right fantasy stories.
Josh is a kind, giving, generous man who cares about people. he’s probably outsmarted the lot of you and you are not only jealous, but too stupid to hang on to your rusty money.

I’ve followed the “plot thickens” saga for some time and while I will agree there could be truth in some of it, it certainly appears to me that most of the Grabel/Case rhetoric was slanted and not based on much significant fact. In the end, though, everyone will have their day.
This is Absurd. Joshua Lankford strived for good of all of those around him, putting others 1st and himself 2nd. When helping others achieve a dream and bettering man kind succeeds jealous, lazy & socialist based citizens want to take shots and find a reason they can’t succeed.
Ask Bill Gates & Donald Trump. Is the computer your working on a windows system, I remember the anti trust lawsuits he went through. Does Trump provide office and multi family shelter while increasing the tax basis of the larges test cities in the world? All of these guys including Lankford are economic stimulants. My recommendation is GET A JOB and A LIFE. How about you try to do something besides throw stones, better yet why don’t you get some Windex and clean your glass house.
