FrontBurner’s favorite new bon vivant/American hero has some dandy advice for the Highland Park town council. Kudos, good sir!

Read the more recent posts on the site, too. The one about the gay flag particularly made me laugh. He’s really good, this Alibaster.

Exactly how many junior parkies have been mowed down by blackberry wielding motorists?

The whole thing is completely overdue. But, what about the other school districts? Don’t we care about the other kiddos?

Once agaain our freedom is being deprived by a bunch of knee jerk liberals who have no comom sense.
Although it may be a novel “safety idea”, it restricts our freedom of speech all in the name of safety.
There is no need to restrict the use of cell phones in HP or any other community as the last legislature demonstrated by NOT passing a cell phone ban while driving a vehicle.
Simply enforce the law for “failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle” when problem school zone mothers are observed driving poorly. Then issue a $200.00 citation (because it is HP). How about HP police enforcing the current law rather than assum everyone who talk on the cell phone is guilty of poor judgement when driving in HP.
Remember the big delivery trucks are stil talking on their radios, teenagers are listening to music so loud they cant think and drive while the H.P. moms are still driving ther SUV’s with DVD screens in search of a parking place to pick up jr.
So…where’s the beef or sould we say here’s the revenue for H.P.
This ordinance is just as worthless as the red light enforcement..neither will save a life.
It takes responsible drivers to save lives!!

FrontBurner® launched in March 2003, the first blog in Dallas run by a media organization. This is where the editors of D Magazine come to waste a tremendous amount of time.
