What You Owe Any Cop

So read this and all the appropriate links. Then remember this, kids — if you’re stopped by a cop for no good reason, or at a checkpoint, or even for a traffic violation — and he asks you some variation of “So, where are you going tonight?” Your response? “I don’t feel like discussing my personal, private business. Am I free to go?” Remember — a cop doesn’t ask you questions because he has idle curiosity. He’s looking for a reason to bust you. You owe nothing in response.
