I was at that same edit meeting, Jessica, and I, too, remember the Hello, Moto interruption. But I also remember Paul pitching no less than 23 story ideas that day. It might have been closer to six, but still…
The thing about the pitches: He brought evidence. “I have here an email from a source for the story, should we decide to pursue it,” he said in his modulated voice. Sure enough, he did. And it was laminated.
