Cindy Crawford to Make Us All Feel A Little Less Pretty at the Cattle Baron’s Ball

As I’m sure you’re all aware, the 2007 Cattle Baron’s Ball is this Saturday out at Southfork Ranch. This is the nation’s single largest fundraising event for research for the American Cancer Society, and that is a great thing. It’s also a great thing because the Cattle Baron’s ladies are cool chicks who like to have a good time, and they get great bands like Big & Rich, Cowboy Troy and Brad Paisley to play at the party. But the point of this post is that supermodel Cindy Crawford is going to be there as well, following a personal appearance at Bachendorf’s at the Dallas Galleria. Why? Follow the jump to find out.

Omega Ambassador to auction limited edition Omega Speedmaster at Cattle Baron’s Ball for American Cancer Society

Dallas, Texas (September 24, 2007) The world famous supermodel Cindy Crawford, ambassador for the prestige Swiss watchmaking company Omega, renowned for its unparalleled reputation in the domain of excellence, precision and innovation, will make a personal appearance at Bachendorf’s in the Dallas Galleria on 29 September. Crawford will greet guests and sign autographs, and will collect a limited edition Omega Speedmaster which will be auctioned later that evening at the Dallas Cattle Baron’s Ball to raise money for the American Cancer Society. At the auction Crawford will address the audience about the importance of the American Cancer Society and present the Omega Speedmaster, which will be in a lot together with a personal tour of the Johnson Space Center by General Thomas Stafford.

As an Omega ambassador since 1995, Cindy Crawford has been promoting Omega products longer than any of the company’s other ambassadors and Omega is proud to be celebrating over a decade with the supermodel. Crawford has also been a long-time supporter of the American Cancer Society and has personal connections with the cause.

The Dallas Cattle Baron’s Ball is the nation’s single largest fundraising event for research for the American Cancer Society. The event has raised more than $31 million over the last 33 years in an ongoing pursuit of a cure for cancer. One hundred active volunteers are responsible for raising the funds to meet this year’s goal of $4m. Fund raising is achieved primarily through contributions to attend the CBB and from the CBB Live Auction on 29 September 2007.
