Local biz author and former Olympian Vince Poscente has written a book called The Age of Speed that’s about learning to thrive in a more-faster-now world. At least, that’s what I assume it’s about since its subtitle reads, “Learning to thrive in a more-faster-now world.” The book has found its way (I suppose I should use the speedy metaphor “rocketed”) to the top of the USAToday and WSJ booklists. A patient PR person tells me Poscente is having a meet-and-greet this Saturday, where Poscente will require attendees to leave their cell phones and Blackberry’s at the door. Whether it’s to prove a point or just to be respectful, I kind of like that. Good luck with it, though.
