Changes at DallasCEO

Alt. Headline: “My New Gig.”

Other Alt. Headline: “What Are the Internets?”

Mindful FrontBurnervians no doubt know that I’ve been editing a sister publication to D proper called DallasCEO. When I first took on the assignment in January of last year, I wasn’t sure of what I was doing. But it’s been more fun than I thought it’d be, and I managed to learn way more than I thought I ever could. Similarly, I have a new assignment here at the D Empire: Web editor, beginning sometime in October. I don’t know what I’ll be doing, but I pledge to do my best to make it at least seem like I do.

Meanwhile, DallasCEO is going to be amazing under the leadership of its incoming executive editor: Glenn Hunter, former (as of today, I hear) editor of Dallas Business Journal. I truly believe Glenn is going to take DallasCEO to the next level (as much as I hate that hackneyed phrase). As Wick dictated to me: “Glenn Hunter is one of the most respected media executives in Dallas. His fine work at the Dallas Business Journal has consistently beaten the daily, and his joining us is a real vote of confidence in the achievements of DallasCEO under Adam McGill. We’re looking forward to more exciting developments for the magazine over the next year.”

Yay, us. (More official press release TK.)

Whoever it was finished his eliminatory business before I did, and as he passed in front of my stall, I caught a glimpse of him through the gap in the door’s hinge. If I’m not mistaken, it was Glenn Hunter. It’s his first day of work here. Maybe it was someone else. Can’t be sure. [...]
