I know I’m way behind on this news. So behind that it’s not news; it’s “newsish.” But it still bears mentioning that Texas Monthly recently hired a full-time editor for their site, texasmonthly.com. A Dallas-based marketing firm called The Price Group surveyed about 500 companies nationwide and found that the owners aren’t so bullish on their bidness. Three-Fourths of respondents said they felt their businesses have “stagnated.” Point people suggest it’s because they don’t plan for growth (99 percent of the owners had no written plan) and have no formal organizational structure.
