One-Third of Brinker Directors Wouldn’t Eat at Their Own Restaurants If Food Were Free

A proxy filed this morning by Brinker International shows that three of the nine directors of the Dallas casual dining empire (think Chili’s, On The Border and Macaroni Grill) didn’t once use the free dining card they get as a perk at any of the company’s eateries in the past year. Ron Kirk did, though, to the tune of $1,022. I had lunch at a Chili’s this weekend, and after savoring the sweet smell of diabetic sweat combined with the aroma of Awesome Blossoms, cheese fries and boneless deep fried wings, I’m not sure which directors I side with.
